I wanted to take a minute to share with you this YouTube video on the correct way to swaddle your baby! It is something that many of you simply expect your photographers to know… but do they?
It is interesting that so many book their sessions with whom ever has the best deal on and do not take into consideration that your baby is in a very delicate stage of their development and improper swaddling can injure your baby and could cause damage to their developing hips! Please take a moment to watch this video so at least you are aware of how it should be done and can then act as director and guardian to your baby at your newborn session!

Its been a wee bit since I could make it back here as … well… tis the season!
I have been attending events as well as wrapping gifts and tonight I will be doing the holiday perm for grandma! I am also getting all my teddy bears/ artist bears ready for my up and coming spring shows. Don’t know about these… you can visit my website for my art bears here www.micheleseraphim.com It keeps me busy and I truly find joy in both making my bears as well as seeing the love they bring out in all my collectors!
Yesterday I took a trip into Toronto via VIA train and spent the day with Scott Kelby… if you don’t know who he is … Editor and Publisher of Photoshop User Magazine, training director and instructor for the Adobe Photoshop Seminar Tour, President National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), CEO of Kelby Media Group, author of a string of bestselling technology books. Conference Technical Chair for the Photoshop World Conference & Expo, author of numerous Photoshop training DVDs and online courses, and co-host of PhotoshopTV, and “The Grid.” Yup… he’s THE GUY! It was so great meeting him yesterday and I highly recommend any of his classes be it online or in person!
It was a fabulous seminar and I am so glad I made the trip! It was impressive to know just how much I already know! LOL! And of course I also learned lots of cool tips and cannot wait for after the holidays to get myself my new hot shoe flash and triggers to begin using them this winter! I know now exactly what flash I want to purchase and will tell you all about it when I do indeed own one!
Our Dr. Zhivago images are coming along so beautifully and although I would love to share them with you right now… I will hold off until we are completed so I can be sure to share the best of the best with you… although I can already tell this is going to be difficult as they are so very very beautiful. Dreamy, ethereal, and storybook as all our images are with a soft coolness to them that is so winter in Russia!
Until I am back with our shoot image for you… I just wanted to share with you this outstanding video created by WestJet! It touched my heart and is filled with MAGIC… there is nothing I love more than magic! We grow up so quickly in this fast paced world and whenever you have a chance to remember what magic and love is… you should enjoy every second!

It was really cold and windy today but we had a wonderful session with the very beautiful and talented Elizabeth! Our session today was based on Doctor Zhivago and although we were not fortunate enough to have had any snow I think the images are going to be stunning!

And one more just cause it is so darn cute!!! Our little pug was giving out free kisses today and Elizabeth was head over heels in love!

So shall we spend this cold winter sharing and playing a bit of “Getting to know you”. I will of course be making/ creating some pictures through this coming season but this will be a big time of change, settlement and balance… I hope.
I will be spending time with family and friends and possibly making new friends too. But for now my journey is just beginning. So lets start small… I’d like to just start sharing with you little things about me… what I do in my spare time.
Tonight I will be watching the third episode of Breaking Bad. I have just started watching this series so don’t be a spoiler. We have purchased two seasons to see if we would like it. So far, so good. I hope to just curl up on the couch with my little pups and kitty cats and big daddy on our new couch and settle in for the night.
We work on Saturdays so we best get started.
